Houdini

Houdini came into the SPCA after his family abandoned him to fend for himself. After getting lots of care and love, he is now looking for his forever home. Meet Houdini - the escape artist who is looking for a way to get into his new family. Houdini a handsome middle-aged gentleman looking for a peaceful home as he prepares to enter retirement. Houdini is initially a shy boy, but once someone has his trust, he wants to spend all of his time with them. Once he feels comfortable, Houdini becomes a lot more confident, enjoying pats, sprawling across people's laps and soaking up the attention. While Houdini's kitten days are behind him, this older lad has a surprising playful streak, enjoying a good play session every now and again with a ball toy. These sessions are usually quite short, and he likes to have a good nap afterwards, preferably in the company of a trusted human. Houdini doesn't like sudden movements, so would do best in a home that's adults only or with older children who will know not to startle him during his quiet time. Houdini may be ok to live with other cats, so long as they were happy to share their home and family with him but would prefer not to live with dogs. Houdini does come with a health waiver, and staff will be happy to talk this through with his new family. Please note that submitting an application does not reserve the cat. This means the cat you're interested in may be adopted before your visit.
