About Nutmeg
Nutmeg came into the SPCA after living on the streets for a number of years. After getting some TLC and medical treatment, he is now on the search for his forever home.
Meet Nutmeg, a majestic boy who is slowly learning to build his confidence.
While Nutmeg enjoys interacting with new people, he prefers to start in his hiding spot. So long as he is given space and time to come out of his own accord, he is pretty quick to say hello and ask for pats.
Nutmeg hasn't met children yet but would likely be ok with older children so long as they knew when he just needed to have a break and snooze in the sun.
Nutmeg's foster mum has advised that "He's a great WFH companion and will happily lounge about for hours in my home office without needing any attention, just enjoying having company.
More inclined to sit on my knee than zoom around but he does enjoy the feather wand and racing through his tunnel with a bit of encouragement.
Quite chatty but not at all loud."
Nutmeg may be ok to live with a friendly cat so long as it was happy to share its home with him, but would prefer to be in a dog free home.
Nutmeg does come with a health waiver, and staff will be happy to talk this through with his new family.
Nutmeg is currently in foster care, so an appointment to meet him will need to be arranged at a time when he can be brought into the centre.
Please note that submitting an application does not reserve the cat. This means the cat you're interested in may be adopted before your visit.
