About Poppy

Meet Poppy! Our resident queen bee, professional chatterbox, and all-round larger-than-life lady. Poppy has been through more than her fair share. After ending up in the pound, she gave birth to her puppies and raised them in foster. Those puppies have long since found their forever homes… and somehow… almost 2 years later, Poppy is still waiting. After everything she’s done and gone through, it’s her turn. She is bursting with personality, truly enough for five dogs. Poppy is a “tell you exactly what she wants” kind of girl, and she’s not shy about it. Whether it’s asking for attention, telling you it’s time for cuddles, or just having a little chat about her day, she keeps life entertaining. She’s confident, a little bit bossy in the best way, and fully embraces her role as the main character. She absolutely adores humans and thrives on attention and interaction. She loves a cuddle, can be a bit of a sook, and just wants to be close to her people and part of the action. Poppy has a real zest for life and brings a fun, upbeat energy wherever she goes. She’s over kennel life and ready to be back in a home where she can stretch out, be doted on, and live the life she deserves. Due to a few previous medical conditions (nothing that affects her day-to-day life), Poppy is available for permanent foster. This means there is no adoption fee, and K9 will cover the cost of any veterinary treatment related to her prior conditions for life. She would suit a home where someone is around more often than not, as she thrives on companionship and being involved in daily life. She’ll also benefit from continued socialisation, and with her confident, people-loving nature, she’s sure to keep progressing. Poppy is bold, funny, affectionate, and full of character. She’s waited long enough, now she just needs someone to see her for who she is and give her the home she’s been so patiently holding out for.
