About Darla

Darla is an absolute stunner and a true working dog at heart. She’s intelligent, energetic and loves having something to do…. she's a working breed after all! Darla is looking for owners that have experience with working dogs and understand that keeping her brain busy is just as important as keeping her body active. She knows a number of tricks and is incredibly keen to learn. Darla thrives with structure, training and clear direction, and she’ll need a home committed to continuing this with her. She loves having a job to do and boy does she do it well! She's been working on treadmill training with our team and absolutely loves it! Darla can be reactive to other dogs and certain things in her environment, so her new owners will need to be comfortable continuing to work on this. She isn’t a dog who can be thrown into busy social situations, but with good management, ongoing training and owners who understand her needs, she has so much potential. Behind all that working-dog energy is a very affectionate and loyal girl who forms strong bonds with her people. She’d love an active lifestyle where she can be involved in plenty of adventures while also having the routine and boundaries she thrives on. Darla needs to be the only dog in the home, but she can socialise with other dogs outside of the home with appropriate introductions.
