About Chook
Chook is a very special fluffy young girl looking for an equally special person.
When Chook first arrives, you may wonder if you even have a cat! She is incredibly shy and is frightened by new surroundings, unfamiliar people and loud noises. Her favourite hiding spot when she's scared is to bury under the covers of the closest bed. She will need someone patient who will let her settle at her own pace, but she will quickly become a HUGE cuddle monster who wants affection 24/7.
Once Chook decides that you're her person, she gives you her whole heart. She adores cuddles (especially her belly) and would happily be stroked all day (and night). She is an incredibly gentle and loving soul, ideally for someone living alone with no children or other pets.
Chook would be perfect for someone with a quiet, predictable home who genuinely wants a very affectionate companion (she loves to lick your hand when she's happy). Someone who spends most of their time at home, or someone dreaming of a little shadow who wants lots of love.
Visitors can be overwhelming for Chook and she will usually hide when unfamiliar people arrive. Loud or sudden noises can frighten her too, so a busy or noisy household won't be ideal.
Chook isn't the cat who will necessarily greet you confidently on day one. She's the cat who asks you to earn her trust. Give her a safe room. Sit quietly with her. Let her hide when she needs. Give her time. And one day, she'll come looking for you, then never leave your side!
Medical Notes
Chook has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.
Chook is located with her foster family in Fremantle. Click Register Adoption Interest to register your interest to see if she is the purrrfect fit for your family! Please note: Clicking Register Adoption Interest does not place a "hold" on the cat, or guarantee an adoption, but is a request to meet the cat with a view to possibly adopting.
