About Juno
Hiya, I'm Juno! I am 1 1/2 years old and before coming to live with humans I was a competent survivor in the wild. I don't really understand the concept of living in a house or with humans. You are so tall. It scares me a little to be honest. I don't like hands. Please do not touch me; I am very capable of grooming myself. But even though you are scary I don't mind your company. My favourite time of the day is when you are on the couch and I can sit next to you (1 metre distance) or explore and play without you getting up. Especially when there are treats involved. I don't care how scared I am; when I hear treats I turn around. I have my priorities straight. In my foster home I have my own room; it is my calm space when the rest of the house is too loud for me. I love my cat scratcher even though it scared me a little in the beginning. My favourite toy is my ball. I can play soccer against the door all day. I don't like it too much when you try to play with my ball, but maybe this will change in the future when you are less scary.
I love when you do laundry because then I can smell it while it dries. I love watching you eat dinner because you might drop something (it never happened, but it might). I love to follow you around at a distance just to check you're not throwing treats without me knowing. I love to sit by the window. I love smelling carpets. I love it when you throw treats and I love when we can just sit calmly. I might close my eyes in relaxation.
I would like to live with someone who understands that I'm still scared of them and it might take a while to change it. I like a calm house with routine. No kids please but lots of safe places to explore and toys to play with (but most importantly lots of treats). I don't care what they are, just treats! In return I will be a quiet room mate who does not need much from you, just your calm company and understanding (and treats). I have already caught a cockroach.
Medical Notes
Juno has a condition called epiphora, sometimes known as blocked tear ducts. This condition has most likely formed as a result of a previous flu infection. Blocked tear ducts can cause the under or over production of tears, and can predispose your cat to eye infections. Therefore they may require intermittent treatment throughout their life.
