Hi, I'm Ross! Are you looking for a best friend who will grow alongside you? Well, you might just be looking for me! I'm Ross, a handsome 9 month old Staffy with a big heart and plenty of potential. Life can feel a little overwhelming sometimes, and all these new sights, sounds and experiences are still pretty new to me. Because of that, I can be a bit unsure of myself and like to take things at my own pace. The good news? I'm already learning that the world isn't such a scary place! I know how to sit when asked, and with some tasty treats, gentle encouragement and force free training, I'm sure I'll impress you with everything else I can learn. When it comes to people, I'm happiest with patient humans who understand that confidence takes time to build. Once I start feeling comfortable, you'll get to see more and more of the sweet, affectionate young boy hiding underneath. I'd love a family who can help me explore new environments gradually and celebrate all my little wins along the way. Other dogs can make me feel a bit uncertain too, but with slow, positive introductions I may enjoy sharing my home with a friendly, similarly sized dog who has a compatible play style and good social skills. A calm canine role model could even help show me that everything is okay! I'd be best suited to a home with secondary school aged children who can respect my space and help me continue building confidence through positive experiences. I'm currently receiving some shelter stress medication while I wait for my new family, but what I really can't wait for is finding a safe, loving home where I can relax, learn and blossom into the amazing dog I'm meant to be. If you're the kind of person who believes that confidence grows through kindness, patience and encouragement, then I think we could make a pretty great team. Come and meet me soon... I've got a feeling my best chapter is just beginning! Ross xx 28.9kgs
