About Dobbie

Dobbie is a young, affectionate boy who is looking for a family ready to give him the time, guidance and training he needs to grow into a confident and well-mannered member of the community. Dobbie was surrendered by his young, busy family, who unfortunately found they didn’t have the time needed to provide him with the training and socialisation he requires. Despite this, Dobbie is a very friendly boy who loves meeting people. When he is relaxed and comfortable, he is incredibly sweet, affectionate and loves being around his humans. As a young dog with limited socialisation and direction, Dobbie is still learning how to navigate the world. He has not previously lived with another dog and currently lacks the social skills to confidently interact with unfamiliar dogs. For this reason, we feel he would be best suited as the only dog in the home. Dobbie can have positive interactions with other dogs when introductions are carefully managed, with a slow approach and appropriate guidance. His new family will need to be committed to structured training with a qualified dog trainer to help build his confidence, improve his social skills and teach him appropriate behaviours. We feel Dobbie would suit a couple or family with children aged 12 years and over who have the time, patience and commitment to help him reach his full potential. With the right home, Dobbie has every opportunity to become a wonderful companion. 💙
