Bay Of Islands Animal Rescue proudly presents.. Crispy! Clumsy Crispy is a relaxed mixed-breed dog under three years of age, more than content to back himself onto your lap for cuddles, and friendly with every person he meets and so far, every dog! He is very treat-motivated, already knows basic commands and loves to give you his paw. Crispy lets us fiddle with his paws, look in his ears, open his mouth, is easy to tablet and has no food aggression. Crispy is crate trained and will wait to exit on command; he is also nice and quiet in the car. Crispy was surrendered after being involved in a dog fight, the exact details are unclear but he had surgery to fix a tear in his ear and a long course of antibiotics for infected wounds on his face (neutered at the same time), Crispy also has many old scars from previous injuries, he has not been fostered with any dogs but has been nice and friendly with dogs met in a controlled environment. Crispy is easy to handle and is a cuddly boy. Crispy happily ignores caged chickens, rabbits, and Guinea pigs! He has not had any interaction with cats but should be okay with a watchful eye and some treats! He has not chewed any furniture or toileted inside; he is nice and quiet but will let out an overexcited woof if worked up enough and he is easy to calm. Crispy would love someone (or a family) who has time for cuddles and daily walks! As with all rescue dogs, Crispy will need some time to settle in and may need some further training. He has been de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and is in good health.
