About Reef

Meet Reef - a big-hearted, sensitive boy who just wants to feel safe and loved. The outside world can be scary for him right now, but when he's in a calm, loving home, he's affectionate, goofy, and happiest by your side. Reef can find dogs and new environments overwhelming, often becoming vocal or frustrated when stressed. He has potential to make doggy friends, but this must be done slowly, in a controlled environment with a reward-based trainer. He's not suited to off-lead dog parks at this stage, but with the right support, he'll grow in confidence and comfort around others. He's looking for patient, experienced adopters who are home most of the time and can help him feel safe, secure, and loved. Reef could live with dog-savvy kids aged 13+ who understand he may need space when he's feeling unsure. With time, compassion, and consistency, Reef will make a deeply loyal and affectionate companion.
