About Stryda

You may recognise this handsome face! Stryda was adopted from us last year, but through no fault of his own, he's back in our care as his owner is moving overseas. Stryda has quite the story. As a young puppy, he came into care after suffering a severe leg injury. Sadly, his previous owners couldn't afford the surgery he needed, and due to the severity of the damage, amputation was the only option. Thankfully, puppies are incredibly resilient, and Stryda bounced back almost immediately. These days, being a tripod certainly doesn't slow him down! What he may lack in legs, he more than makes up for with his zest for life and his wonderful personality. Stryda is a happy, affectionate boy who is ready to find a family that will truly make him one of their own. He wants to be included in life's adventures, whether that's exploring new walking trails, joining you on outings, or simply relaxing with you at the end of the day. He absolutely loves to "talk" to his people and will happily tell you all about his day with his adorable awoos and conversations. If you're after a dog with plenty of personality, Stryda certainly delivers! He's an active young boy with plenty of energy to burn, so he's looking for a home that can provide him with regular exercise, ongoing socialisation and plenty of mental enrichment. Ideally, his new family will be home more often than not, or have a lifestyle that ensures his physical and emotional needs are well met. Don't let the three legs fool you, Stryda doesn't know he's any different. He's proof that resilience comes in all shapes and sizes, and he's ready to bring endless love, laughs and adventure to the lucky family who gives him a second chance.
