A gentle and affectionate soul, Bernie loves his routine and has been wonderfully easy going. He’s happiest spending time with his people and soaking up all the love and attention he can get. He’s like a mix between an old man and a younger dog who enjoys adventure. Bernie could live with full-time workers, provided he receives daily exercise, enrichment and plenty of quality time. Ideally he’d rather live with humans that are home more often than not. He’s definitely more of a people’s dog than a dog’s dog. While he can socialise out and about through calm, controlled introductions, he’s looking to be the only dog in his home so he can have his humans all to himself.
