Pepper

Pepper is a young mum who has already survived more than most cats her age should ever have to. Rescued off the street shortly after giving birth, she has worked hard to keep her babies safe and is only now beginning to learn what it means to relax and trust. She’s a quiet, observant girl who prefers to keep a bit of distance while she figures out her surroundings. She is very wary of humans and careful about who she allows into her space. Pepper needs someone who understands that trust is earned slowly, through patience, consistency, and respect for her boundaries. She’s not a cat who will rush into affection, but one who will build a bond over time. Pepper spends much of her day watching from safe spots, taking in the world with thoughtful eyes. She may approach for gentle interaction when she feels secure, but she will always appreciate having quiet retreats where she can decompress. Pepper would be well suited to an experienced cat owner who can read subtle body language and offer a calm, predictable environment to help her thrive. Pepper is vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, and is fully litter trained. Pepper will need two litter trays to herself. She is now ready for adoption to an indoor only home.
