About Mia
Hi, we are Ivan and Mia, a bonded pair looking for a forever home. Let us introduce ourselves a bit:
Ivan :
Don't let my deadpan look trick you, I am one clingy boy! Do you want a cat that loves to sleep by your side every night and can tell you exactly what he wants? Then Ivan's your guy! Along with his bonded sister Mia, Ivan is a confident young man that can adapt to a new home quite easily. He'll get along with you great if you win over Mia as she's the boss! He's not super into rough housing but loves long petting sessions. He'll spend a lot of the day hunkered down in his favourite spots around the house until you come home or it's time for bed where he'll be by your side until it's feeding time! His car engine purr is so endearing and he will start right up when he's around his favourite humans. When he does feel like playing Ivan loves cat toys on a string to wrestle with but only when he's ontop of something soft like a bed or couch.
Ivan's a confident man when he's with the human he's attached himself to but he can be a bit jumpy and change rooms until he's ready to investigate the new noises. He's fully confident if you pick him up and take him around the house though!
Mia :
Is it a bird or is it a cat? It's Mia! With how Mia chirps and calls to you through-out the day, you'd think you've adopted a bird! Mia is a talkative and highly affectionate young lady. Along with her bonded brother Ivan, they make a dynamic duo who rough house, even if Ivan doesn't want to, and keep each other happy. Mia loves perching on blankets and anything soft and will create a camping spot to call her own for hours at a time. When it comes to playtime she loves to hunt in ambush, hiding under tables and the couch, lying in wait for you to bring the toy to her so she can wrestle it to the ground. Perhaps her bird like chirps are a hint as she LOVES tackling anything with feathers attached to it.
Mia is confident and will be the first to greet you of the pair if you bring them home. Treat her well and she will put in a good word about you to her brother Ivan and he'll come out to greet you shortly after! The two are inseparable and will keep each other company at night if you don't want to sleep with cats on your bed, being separated will make Mia anxious as she does not like not knowing where Ivan is. This is helpful if Ivan has decided to have a nap somewhere sneaky, she'll find him immediately. Gamers beware, Mia will compete with your monitor for attention.
Ivan and Mia are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Their total adoption package price is $292.50 ($146.25 each).
Medical Notes
Ivan has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. They should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to their health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat ; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks.
Ivan has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required.
Ivan has a kinky tail. Cat Haven veterinarians have assessed their tail and determined that, while a little bit unique, the condition is unlikely to cause any other concerns in the future.
Ivan had a dislocated third toe in his right hind leg when he arrived to Cat Haven. We were unable to completely replace it but it is now well aligned and functioning normally.
