The Foreman

Meet The Foreman, although his foster family are affectionately calling him Thor - and honestly, the name suits this handsome gentleman perfectly! Thor is a gorgeous 4-year-old white and tabby boy; he is the sweetest gentleman who is discovering just how wonderful humans can be. Thor was found as a stray but has recently discovered that humans are particularly good at two things: head kisses and pats and he loves both equally. While he's still a little nervous as he learns to trust his new surroundings, he has made wonderful progress and is already showing affectionate side with lots of purrs. He's not quite a lap cat yet, but give him time. For now, Thor is perfectly happy lying beside you as close as humanly possible on the sofa, enjoying your company and soaking up the attention. Although he loves company, he is also quite content to have some alone time too, making him a perfect companion. He is still learning about the world around him and how to play with his toys, so a patient home where he can settle in at his own pace would be ideal. Thor is FIV positive, so this is something potential adopters will need to consider and therefore will need to be indoor cat only. However FIV-positive cats can still enjoy a good normal quality of life, and Thor is currently a very happy, content and affectionate boy. His compatibility with other cats and dogs is currently unknown. His foster family are already seeing the loving personality hiding behind those enormous cheeks. Medical Notes The Foreman has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. They should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to their health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks. The Foreman has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required. The Foreman has a waiver for Cat Flu (recovered).
