Ash

Ash is a sweet and well behaved 7-year old girl who has quickly blossomed after a few weeks in foster. She will welcome you home with purrs and head butts, and if you're sitting down by the TV she might climb onto your chest or lap and enjoy some chin scritches. She is very friendly even with new people, but will retreat back to one of her favourite spots once she's had her fill of pats. She also LOVES to play with a wand toy and still gets occasional zoomies in the evening! She is using her litterbox with no issues, and thankfully much prefers her scratching post over our furniture. She took about a week to start eating when she first came home, and another two weeks to get used to her special urinary care diet - but she now loves both her wet and dry food and is eating consistently. One of her favourite spots in our home is on the lounge beside the window, where she will snooze during the day when everyone is out. Ash found her previous home with young children and pets a bit too stressful, and so would prefer a quieter home. She may be okay with older kids who know how to respect her boundaries. If you're looking for an affectionate, gentle companion, Ash might just be the missing piece in your home. Medical Notes Ash has a waiver for Weight Management. Ash has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats. Ash has a waiver for Inappropriate Toileting. During their time at Cat Haven, they have displayed some evidence of toileting inappropriately, such as toileting on their bedding or outside their litter tray. Their urine has been checked to rule out medical concerns, and it is likely that this behaviour is associated with stress and/or anxiety. Ash has been on Hills C/D stress and the veterinary team recommends that she remains on this diet long term. Ash is located with her foster family in Westminster.
