DO YOU WANT MORE THAN DOUBLE THE LOVE? Then Toothless (aka Toofs the Bowling Ball Boy) and Ares (aka Arnie Barney the Banana Boy) are the bonded pair for you. First, to state the obvious, yes, two does mean double the cost. However, what I cannot stress enough as their foster Mum is they bring more than double the love and joy of owning a furperson. Our home is not big, and both boys are very content with the space they have as inside cats. The traits they share are they are both very healthy and fit for their age, very house proud and will smoother you for affection, which will be rewarded with cuddles and purrs. Both boys enjoy a chin, back, tummy or booty scratch. They have never bitten or lashed out with their paws. Happy to be left home if you work and happy to greet you at the door when you get home. Toofs is a huge softy, all 7kg of him. He finds it uncomfortable to be picked up but loves to throw himself at you when on the lounge or in bed in the form of a large ball, no hot water bottles required in bed during winter!!! He is not super vocal, but when he does it's a beautiful meow that talks to you, generally he will be complaining though about needing food or it's way past his bedtime and everyone should go to bed NOW! Arnie is a little smaller and bouncier. He like to have a chat but would rather get in your face and stare you down. He flops as soon as picked up and cuddled and is happy to be a warm furry scarf around your neck, all the while purring away. He also enjoys being with you on the lounge and bed but gives you space, but still in arms reach for a pat. A deal breaker: No House Plant! They eat them!! I have removed all of mine for their temporary accommodation needs. A quirk to Note: Must have two high sided kitty litter boxes, can explain more if you are interested. And a water bowl in the shower seems to be their preferred drinking place as Arnie likes to also play in it. Toothless and Ares are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on their health. Ares has a waiver for Cat Flu (recovered). Ares has a waiver for Inappropriate Toileting. During their time at Cat Haven, they have displayed some evidence of toileting inappropriately, such as toileting on their bedding or outside their litter tray. Their urine has been checked to rule out medical concerns, and it is likely that this behaviour is associated with stress and/or anxiety. It is possible that this behaviour will continue during the transition to your new home, and we cannot rule out that it may be an ongoing issue. Toothless has had teeth removed because of Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions (FORL) on the teeth. Toothless has a skin condition which has caused severe hair loss and itching in the past. There are a number of different things that can cause this condition, and it can be difficult to determine the underlying cause without specialists testing and trials. It is not known what causes her skin reaction, therefore it is important that you use a variety of preventative measures. Toothless has previously had an episode of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, (FLUTD), a condition which may result in urinary obstruction. Cat Haven recommends regular veterinary check ups.
