Meet Boomer Boomer is a handsome young gentleman with a heart as soft as his fluffy black coat. He has beautiful medium-length black fur, with the occasional little white tuft that makes him extra adorable. Boomer is a sweet and affectionate boy once he gets to know you. He absolutely loves a good head scratch and will happily soak up the attention from someone he trusts. He's also very food-motivated - so if you want to win his heart, treats are definitely the way to go! He can be a little timid when meeting new people and may need some time to feel comfortable in a new environment. Boomer is happiest when he has a quiet safe space of his own where he can retreat and decompress while he gets used to his surroundings. Once he feels safe, his affectionate personality starts to shine. He also has a lovely temperament around other cats and has shown that he can happily coexist with feline friends. Boomer would be best suited to a patient and loving home that understands that trust takes a little time. He is FIV+ therefore will need to be an indoor cat only. Give him a safe space, some patience, plenty of head scratches and maybe a few tasty treats, and you'll have a loyal little companion who will reward you with plenty of love. FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. They should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to their health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat ; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks. Boomer has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes.
