My name is River and I am a sassy young lady who was trapped in early December 2025 with my 8 kittens. We need to be clear here, I was not the best mother, but that being said, they were all healthy and have since found loving homes. It took me a while to adjust to being an inside cat and even longer to realise that my foster mum (FM) just wanted the best for me. I was initially very resistive to being touched by human hands. Even now, I'm not a huge fan but I do really really love being brushed. My FM found the most perfect small brush that she uses on my cheeks and neck and I just melt. Sometimes when she is brushing me, I get a little overstimulated and I will nibble her hand. I don't mean any harm by it but for this reason, I wouldn't probably be good around small children. I would do best in a home with another cat. I am currently living with 6 other cats and we all get along well. I play with toys, use the scratching posts and am litter trained. I am also stunningly beautiful and I enjoy sitting on my FM's bed in an evening before going to sleep in my favourite chair. The down side is that I cannot be picked up, and I am still quite skittish. My FM herds me into the cat carrier if we have to go anywhere. So if you choose to come and meet me, I probably won't be relaxed, and will not show my best side. You will need to be able to see my potential. See that even though I was a skanky teenage mother, that I have a lot of love to give and that I deserve a forever home where I will be loved and cherished. Medical Notes River has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required.
