Meet Niha 💕 Niha is a sweet, affectionate and wonderfully playful girl who may need a little time to feel comfortable in a new home. Once she feels safe and gets to know you, however, her loving personality really shines. Before long, you'll have a little shadow following you around the house and keeping you company. Niha has a beautiful balance of being affectionate while also enjoying her independence. She loves having her own cosy spaces where she can retreat, relax and observe what is happening around her. She is also very good at letting you know what she wants. When she is ready for cuddles, she will come and find you herself, and she absolutely loves her head scratches and belly rubs. If Niha had it her way, there would probably be someone available to give her cuddles 24 hours a day! Once she has bonded with you, she loves being close to her humans and being involved in whatever you are doing. She is the kind of cat who will happily follow you from room to room, settle nearby while you work or relax, and then wander off to enjoy some time in her own space when she feels like it. And then there is playtime! Niha LOVES to play. Her feather toy is an absolute favourite and she can happily chase, pounce and play with it for hours. She has a wonderfully energetic side too, with regular morning and evening zoomies around the house. Plenty of interactive play, enrichment and opportunities to burn off her energy are a must for this girl. Niha would ideally suit someone who spends plenty of time at home, such as someone who works from home or is retired, as she really enjoys companionship once she has built trust with you. We also think she could be very happy in a home with another friendly and playful cat, as having a feline friend to keep her company and play with would be wonderful for her. Niha is looking for someone who understands that she may need a little patience and space when she first arrives, but who will be rewarded with an incredibly affectionate, playful and loyal companion once she feels at home. She is a girl who knows what she wants: a safe and cosy space of her own, lots of love and attention when she asks for it, and lots and lots of playtime! Medical Notes Niha has a waiver for Inappropriate Toileting. During their time at Cat Haven, they have displayed some evidence of toileting inappropriately, such as toileting on their bedding or outside their litter tray. Their urine has been checked to rule out medical concerns, and it is likely that this behaviour is associated with stress and/or anxiety. It is possible that this behaviour will continue during the transition to your new home, and we cannot rule out that it may be an ongoing issue. Niha is located with her foster family in Cloverdale.
