About Cameron Fletcher
Hi there! Are you a human with a young cat or two that need a touch of ginger in their life? Then you should come and meet me! My full name is Cameron Fletcher, but I go by Fletch for short. When I first arrived at Cat Haven, I was terrified! Everything was so scary, I didn't know what to do. The nice people there sent me out to live with my foster human to help me learn to be not so scared. I spent a lot of time hiding, trying to be brave but not quite getting there. Then the best thing happened - I met the cats who lived there. I was so happy! I am a lot braver around cats than humans, and they have helped show me that my foster human is actually not that scary (even if they did give me yucky medicine when I had ringworm on my nose! I was not a fan, even if it did make the ringworm go away and my nose not be so itchy). When I first met the resident cats, I was so excited, I may have been a little too enthusiastic in my attempts to make friends and overwhelmed them a bit. Oops - my bad! I have settled in and have learned to not be quite so over the top in my attempts at making friends (it only took a few scratches on my nose!). So yeah, another cat in the home would be awesome. I am still gaining confidence and learning to be brave around my human. I still retreat to my safe box when I am unsure, but am starting to learn to enjoy a pat, especially in the evenings. I am relaxed enough now around my foster human to stretch out for full body pats - but only in my room. I have recently been allowed to explore the rest of the house, and I am slowly expanding my range (I will sit and watch the human watching the tv sometimes), but at the moment, contact is only ok in my room, where I feel safe. Once I have settled, you can admire (but don't touch!) my cute belly - my fur has a stripe right down the middle that foster mum says looks like I am wearing a ginger suit with a zipper! I am still what you might call a work in progress, and can scare easily, so a relatively quiet home without young kids would be best for me. ....and a cat or two - don't forget the cat needing a friend bit. Although maybe someone a similar age to me would be good too? Someone who has the energy levels to put up with my enthusiastic friend-making attempts! So, here it is, Fletch's wishlist for a happy home: 1: a young(ish) (or at least patient) cat (or two?) who wants a handsome friend 2: patient and kind humans who are willing to give me the time to settle in and keep learning to be brave 3: a quiet home - too much going on freaks me out So, if you think you can make my wishes come true - come and meet me. I'll probably just watch you from the safety of my box, but foster mum can tell you all about me! Medical Notes Cameron Fletcher has a waiver for ringworm recovered. I am located with my foster family in East Victoria Park. Click Register Adoption Interest to register your interest to see if I am the purrrfect fit for your family!
