Sox

Sox is a gentle, quiet and affectionate girl who is looking for a patient person to help her feel safe and loved. She can be very shy at first and prefers to observe the world from a cosy hiding spot while she settles in, but her sweet personality begins to shine once she builds trust. Sox is quite nocturnal - she sleeps most of the day and has more energy and personality at night. She would be good company for a night owl who likes to stay up late as her! When the house is calm, Sox comes out for cuddles and loves being close to her people. She is an enthusiastic affection-seeker who will headbutt and knead for pats, and she often curls up beside you at night. Pats are definitely the way to her heart, she isn't particularly interested in toys or treats, but she adores gentle attention and allows herself to be picked up once she is relaxed. Sox can be startled by loud noises and sudden movements, so she would thrive in a quiet, predictable home with someone who understands that confidence may come gradually. With patience, reassurance and plenty of affection, Sox has the potential to become a wonderfully devoted cuddle companion. Medical Notes Sox has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required. Sox has a skin condition called Feline Acne or Chin Acne. It is not known what causes this skin reaction, though it is usually mild and manageable. Using stainless steel or ceramic bowls rather than plastic often assists. Sox has a heart murmur. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on their health. Sox was surrendered to Cat Haven with an abnormal xiphoid cartilage. Sox has had teeth removed because of Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions (FORL) on the teeth.
