Hi I'm Sam Cisco and I'm a handsome, fluffy 5 year old male. I am an FIV+ cat who was found as a stray. Due to this, I have to be an indoor cat and I can only live with other FIV+ cats. I've been with my foster family for about 8 weeks now and am having an excellent time. I am always hungry and definitely food obsessed. I come running whenever I hear a packet rustle and particularly love a roast chicken. I enjoy being brushed and will roll around so you can get all of me. I am also a big lap cat and will sit on you at every opportunity I get and when you call my name I will come running. When I'm really happy, you'll notice because I start purring and even drool a little bit! I don't really like being picked up but am okay for short periods of time. I don't like to play with people much but you'll often find me chasing a hair band around on the floor or randomly attacking bag straps and other dangly objects. I'm extremely loveable and confident and can't wait to find my furrever home. Medical Notes San Cisco has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. They should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to their health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks. San Cisco has also been noted to have a malocclusion, specifically an "overbite". This means that his top jaw is slightly longer than his bottom jaw.The cause of this is unknown, but it is likely congenital or from previous trauma. This condition is not currently causing any issues or pain associated with eating or the growth of the teeth. If required, Cat Haven has also performed any necessary extractions of any teeth causing issues. It is recommended that you have the cat's teeth checked annually with your local vet clinic to assess how the teeth are growing. I am located with my foster family in Kallaroo.
