Peachy Keen

I'm Peachy Keen and I'm a quiet and sweet lady with the most luxurious long tabby coat. I'm an independent girl who is confident to explore all corners of the house and garden but also like/need a safe space when alone or uncomfortable. When I first arrived in foster care, I walked straight out of the carrier and explored my new room. When allowed into more rooms, I loved investigating each of them with the same confidence and I'm still very keen to "escape" or explore anywhere I haven't already been! I like company, petting and sitting on a comfy lap and can be quite demanding for some petting if I've been alone for a little while! While happy with company, I prefer a little space and will most often curl up near people or on my favourite bed or in a cubby. After 5 weeks, I can tolerate being in the same room as another cat but will hiss and growl if surprised or they get too close. I might soften to another cat over time but would prefer to be on my own. Being an older lady, I don't play at all - No fluffy, feathery toys or laser pointers have enticed me to play! I love any food that people eat! If I have to have cat food, I prefer wet food but I'll eat biscuits when hungry. My ideal home is quiet, with a safe space and someone patient to give me attention when I want it and space when I don't. I'm very good with my litter tray or garden and need scratching options (or I will use the couch or carpet). Medical Notes Peachy Keen has a heart murmur. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on their health. Peachy Keen has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required. Peachy Keen has had teeth removed due to feline odontoclastic resorptive lesions (FORL) on their teeth. I am located with my foster family in Leederville.
