Meet Fuzz Lightyear, or Fuzz to his friends! At just 8 months old and 30kg, this handsome German Shepherd is still very much a big puppy in a fluffy space suit, and he's ready to blast off into his next adventure: finding a forever family. Fuzz was found as a stray, and sadly, no one came forward to claim him. Now he's looking for a fresh start with a devoted family who can give him the love, safety and security he needs to feel settled and confident as he grows. Fuzz is in great general health and is ready to explore the universe, although his previous life hasn't given him much structure or formal training. He's also VERY boisterous, and at 30kg, that big puppy energy can certainly make an entrance! He's looking for patient humans who are ready to help him learn the ropes with gentle guidance, consistency and plenty of positive reinforcement. The good news? Fuzz is one clever little astronaut. True to his German Shepherd roots, he's bright, attentive and highly responsive to cues and treats, making training a fun and rewarding way to build his confidence while teaching him all the important life skills - including how to channel that enthusiastic energy. Because he's still a young, energetic and very boisterous boy, Fuzz would love a family who has the time, commitment and confidence to help him grow into the amazing adult dog he's destined to become. A home with secondary school-aged children and older could be a great fit, particularly for kids who are keen to get involved in his positive reinforcement training. Fuzz may also be suitable to live with another friendly dog, pending a successful meet-and-greet at the shelter. After all, every space explorer needs a co-pilot! What Fuzz really needs is a secure home, consistent routines, patient humans and lots of love. Give him those things and this goofy, clever young Shepherd will give you a lifetime of loyalty, affection and undoubtedly a few entertaining adventures along the way.
