Say hello to Joey - professional wiggle-butt, enthusiastic people-lover and all-round adorable puppy! This sweet boy has had a bit of a rocky start, but he's ready to turn the page and find the loving forever home he deserves. Joey first arrived at the shelter as a stray after being found wandering around Sunshine North. He was later surrendered when his previous owner realised they could no longer give a young puppy the time, care, love and security he needed. Now Joey is looking for someone who can show him just how wonderful life can be when you have a safe home and a family of your very own. 🥰 And despite his bumpy beginning? Joey is pure sunshine! This boy absolutely LOVES people and would happily spend his days hanging out with his humans, soaking up attention and being involved in whatever is happening. There is just one tiny problem... Joey sometimes loves people a little too enthusiastically! 😂 New friend? AMAZING! Someone to say hello to? EVEN BETTER! Joey can be very bouncy and excitable when meeting people, so he'll need a patient family who can help him learn that four paws on the floor and calm greetings are the way to go. Joey is also a bit of a blank canvas when it comes to training. He hasn't had much structure or guidance in his life so far, which means his new family gets to help him learn ALL the important stuff - from basic manners and commands to becoming a superstar on lead walks. With plenty of patience, positive reinforcement and consistency, Joey has all the ingredients to grow into an amazing adult dog. 🐶✨ Joey would love a home with secondary school-aged children or older who are comfortable with his energetic puppy ways. He may also be suitable to live with another dog, pending a successful meet-and-greet at the shelter. Joey has already shown us that he has a huge heart and so much love to give. Now he just needs someone willing to teach him, guide him, spoil him and show him that he's finally home.
