Fallon is a lovable young boy who arrived at the shelter as a stray with no ID, so we don't know much about his life before coming into our care. What we do know is that he loves a good game of fetch, is motivated by treats and has quickly shown us his playful, sweet personality. Around the shelter, Fallon has generally been walking nicely on lead, is relaxed around new people and is easy to harness and handle once he feels comfortable. He does best when people give him the chance to make the first move rather than coming straight in for lots of attention. Let Fallon approach, have a sniff and decide you're okay, and then the pats can begin. His new family will need to keep building positive associations with handling so he learns that being touched and cared for is always a safe and rewarding experience. Fallon may be suitable to live with a well matched dog, particularly one of a similar size or smaller and preferably female. He'll also benefit from continued positive experiences around other dogs to help build his confidence. His new family should also work on independence training, teaching him gradually that spending some time alone is completely okay and nothing to worry about. He is suitable for a home with secondary school aged children or older. With some guidance, patience and plenty of games along the way, Fallon has everything he needs to become a wonderful companion. No appointment is needed, so come and visit him at our North Melbourne shelter. If you're interested in adopting Fallon, our team can arrange a meet and greet. If you have children or another dog at home, please bring them along so they can meet Fallon too. 23.4 kg <3
