About Destiny Hope
Meet Destiny Hope - Professional Cuddlebug & Part-Time Food Critic! Gorgeous 3-year-old Boxer cross with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a very serious relationship with food! When Destiny first arrived at the shelter, she was severely underweight and had experienced such a sad start to life that she genuinely believed every meal might be her last. Thanks to lots of love, good food and excellent care, Destiny has put on weight and is looking much healthier. Because of her history, Destiny can snatch food and resource guard, so she needs a family who understands her behaviour and is happy to manage her meals carefully. She is therefore best suited to a home with secondary-school-aged children or older who can respect her boundaries around food. But don't let her food obsession fool you - Destiny has discovered that life has other wonderful things to offer! When she first arrived, she was a very scared girl. Fast-forward to now and her confidence has blossomed beautifully. She loves going for walkies, enjoys hanging out with her humans and has discovered that cuddles are basically the best thing ever. She's also potentially open to having a canine roommate! Destiny could live with another well-matched dog, provided introductions are done carefully and the two are separated around meal times and food. Destiny doesn't believe in sharing her dinner, and frankly, she's very clear about her position on the matter.
