Sasha is a lovely Staffy with a sweet nature and plenty of personality waiting to come through. She can take a little time to feel completely confident with new people, but she responds well to a calm, gentle approach and has been a lovely girl with the people caring for her. Around the shelter, Sasha has been pretty easy to walk on lead, although she can sometimes become excited or distracted by everything happening around her. She's generally comfortable with handling, while things like harnessing can still feel a little unfamiliar. Taking these moments slowly and pairing them with treats and praise will help her build positive associations and confidence. Her new family can continue introducing her gradually to unfamiliar people, places and experiences, using reward-based, force-free training along the way. Sasha is suited to a home with secondary school aged children or older and may be suitable to live with another well matched dog following a successful meet and greet. Sasha is a sweet girl who will really benefit from someone willing to let the relationship develop naturally and help her feel secure in her new world. No appointment is needed, so come and visit her at our North Melbourne shelter. If you're interested in adopting Sasha, our team can arrange a meet and greet. If you have children or another dog at home, please bring them along so they can meet her too. 26 kg <3
