Canoe

Meet Canoe. Canoe is a beautiful boy who has had a difficult start to life. He came into our care as a stray, so we don't know much about his past or whether he has ever had a home of his own. What we do know is that the shelter environment is very overwhelming for him, and right now, Canoe is a very scared boy. Behind those frightened eyes is a beautiful cat who simply needs someone to show him that he is safe. Canoe will need a patient and kind person who understands that trust cannot be rushed. He needs time, quiet, gentle interactions and the freedom to come out of his shell at his own pace. With the right person and a safe home, we hope Canoe can finally learn what it feels like to be loved and have somewhere he truly belongs. He may not be the cat who runs up to greet you straight away, but that is what makes his journey so special. For Canoe, finding someone who is willing to wait for that first little moment of trust could mean everything. Canoe is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
