While he enjoys some independence, he loves being included in daily life and spending time with his people. Positive reinforcement is the key to helping him build confidence and thrive. Phoenix is best suited to a home with teens and adults. He may be suitable as an outdoor dog, provided he receives plenty of interaction, enrichment, and mental stimulation. Food-based enrichment such as Kongs, treat toys, and frozen treats will help keep him happy and engaged, especially when left alone. Phoenix cannot live with cats or pocket pets. He may be able to share his home with another dog, pending a successful meet and greet. A secure 5-foot fence is required.
