About Saskia

Meet Saskia, a very sweet and loving girl who is looking for a calm, patient and understanding home where she can build her confidence and truly blossom. Saskia can be a little shy and timid when first meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations, but with time, gentle guidance and plenty of positive reinforcement, she will become a wonderfully loyal and affectionate companion. She is food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding, and ongoing positive training and gradual desensitisation will help her feel more confident in new or seemingly scary situations. Saskia is best suited to being the only dog in the home; while she can calmly walk past other dogs, she can become tense during close interactions and is not suited to off-lead dog areas where another dog may run up to her. Experience with nervous dogs would be beneficial, and older, calm teenagers may be suitable following a mandatory meet and greet. Saskia would thrive with secure 6-foot fencing, and access between indoors and outdoors would be ideal as she loves being close to her people. With the right home, patience and guidance, Saskia has all the makings of a beautiful, loving and devoted best friend. ❤️🐾
