Hi, I'm Whiskey, a handsome four-year-old Mastiff mix with a gentle heart and a softer side that I'm hoping to share with my forever family. 🥰 I'm a nervous boy who can take a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings, so I'm looking for someone who understands that the best friendships are built slowly, with patience, kindness and trust. Once I know I'm safe, I'm a lovely companion who will appreciate having someone who gives me the time and space to settle at my own pace. 💙🐾 I'm looking for a home where I can be your one and only dog 🐶❤️ and I'd love to meet calm children aged 13 years and over to make sure we're the perfect match. I'm an independent boy and don't need to be involved in absolutely everything, but I do need a family who understands my nervous nature and is happy to let me settle into my new home gradually. 🏡✨ A slow introduction and following the 3-3-3 rule for settling after adoption will be really important in helping me feel safe and comfortable. I'm also learning that being on my own is okay. 🥹 I'll need a family who is willing to work with me on my separation behaviours and continue my current behaviour medication as part of my ongoing care. With consistency, patience and positive support, I can continue building confidence and learning that my people always come back. 💕 I'll also need secure 6-foot Colourbond dig proof fencing to help me feel safe and secure in my new home. I am heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment, so I'm looking for a special family who is happy to support me through this journey. ❤️ Because of my ongoing treatment and the support I need while I settle, I'm available through a foster-to-adopt arrangement. 🏡🐾 This will give us the opportunity to get to know each other while I continue my treatment and settle into my new routine.
