Meet Bernadette 💕 Bernadette is a very sweet girl who has recently had a leg amputated and is now learning how to navigate the world on three legs. She is still getting used to her new way of moving, so she will need a patient, loving family who is happy to give her the time, space and encouragement she needs to build her confidence. Bernadette's ideal home will be calm, safe and supportive, with people who understand that she may need to take things slowly while she adjusts. Easy access to her food, water, litter tray and comfortable resting spots will be especially important while she is recovering. What Bernadette will need in her new home ❤️ Bernadette should be kept indoors, particularly while she adjusts to life on three legs. Her access to high furniture, stairs and other areas where she could fall should be limited while she is still finding her balance. Non-slip rugs or mats can help her feel more secure on slippery floors. An easy-access, low-entry litter tray will make things more comfortable for her. She will need plenty of cosy, accessible places to rest and should be allowed to set her own pace. Her new family should monitor her mobility and comfort and continue to follow any veterinary advice provided for her recovery. Most importantly, Bernadette needs a family who will be patient and understanding as she learns what her three-legged body can do. Bernadette may need a little extra care and consideration, but she has so much love to give in return. Her missing leg doesn't change the wonderful, affectionate cat she is - she simply needs someone willing to help her regain her confidence. Bernadette would be best suited in a household with no other pets as she would love all your love and affection!
