I came into the care of SPCA as my owner could no longer look after me, I'm now ready to find my forever home! Meet Murphy! Murphy is a gorgeous Collie cross with a wonderfully gentle, loving nature and a real desire to please his people. He is a very pleasing boy who is naturally submissive and eager to do the right thing. Murphy is the kind of dog who forms a lovely bond with his humans and will happily do anything for the people he loves. Murphy has a playful side too, and fetch is definitely one of his favourite things! Give this boy a tennis ball and he is in his element. He loves chasing after his ball and getting involved in a good game, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys spending time playing and interacting with their dog. When it comes to other dogs, Murphy is a little more independent. He doesn't particularly seek out the company of other dogs or care much about interacting with them, but he is quite happy to live in their presence. He can comfortably share his environment with other dogs without needing to be their best friend. For Murphy, having his own space and being able to simply coexist is perfectly fine. What Murphy really values is his people. He is affectionate, eager to please and happiest when he knows he is part of the family. His submissive nature and willingness to do anything for his humans make him a very endearing boy who is likely to thrive with kind, patient people who will build a relationship with him through positive experiences. Murphy would love a home where he can enjoy plenty of quality time with his family, regular walks, games of fetch and, of course, lots of tennis balls! He doesn't need a busy social life with other dogs, he is perfectly content simply being alongside his humans and enjoying life at his own pace. With his soft nature, playful personality and incredibly pleasing attitude, Murphy has so much love to give. He is ready to find a family who will appreciate his gentle character, give him the security and affection he deserves, and make him a cherished part of their lives.
